A specific solution for greenhouses during periods of stress
Application of Croptimum significantly improves tolerance to abiotic stress, specifically heat, cold and drought stress. Application of Croptimum during stressful periods improves activity of the plant and it’s resilience. This results in significant improvement of flowering, fruit quality and reduction of unmarketable fruits. Plants treated with Croptimum have also shown more vigorous growth , flowering and production after periods of cold or heat stress. Also plants last longer and are more vital towards the end of the cycle.

Plant activation
Croptimum activates glutathione, a key plant antioxidant involved in redox regulation. During stress, antioxidants such as glutathione help maintain cellular redox balance. Through this interaction, Croptimum enhances the plant’s buffering capacity against oxidative stress, allowing treated plants to continue performing where untreated plants begin to decline.
Root activation
Croptimum improves rhizosphere health by increasing glutathione levels in roots, enhancing root resilience. At the same time, it positively influences rhizosphere microorganisms, promoting beneficial interactions rather than competition for resources. This dual mode of action improves nutrient uptake, reduces drought stress sensitivity, and supports overall tree performance.
Reliable results
Repeated use of Croptimum across successive seasons in a wide variety of vegetables have shown that year after year positive effects on harvest quantity, quality and longevity of plants can be expected, with a reduction of other inputs per kg of produce.

Enhancing the redox buffer
Croptimum contains the active molecule QQ2.
QQ2 exhibits a strong affinity for thiol groups, particularly glutathione. Glutathione is the most abundant antioxidant in plants and plays a central role in regulating a wide range of stress-related physiological processes.
Through its strong interaction with glutathione, QQ2 enhances the plant’s ability to cope with stress, improving stress tolerance and enabling faster recovery following stressful events. Laboratory studies have demonstrated that application of Croptimum leads to a significant increase in glutathione concentrations in plant tissues after treatment.
Observations & results
Through independent research institutes and reputable growers unquestionable results were observed at various production locations worldwide. Across a wide variety of greenhouse vegetables better yields and quality were measured.
Physiological improvement
To further understand the effects of Croptimum on pepper, CHV collaborated with Vivent Biosignals to collect real-time data on physiological changes occurring in plants following application. This research was conducted at a reputable independent research station (Spain). Similar effects have been observed at other growers applying Croptimum, specifically during stressful growing circumstances.
The results showed that application of Croptimum reduced plant sensitivity to drought stress, increased metabolic activity, accelerated the initiation of photosynthesis, and extended the duration of optimal growth conditions.
Stimulation of an optimum rhizosphere is observed after use of Croptimum. Root volume increases have been measured and better root development observed in various crops.

Harvest results
The physiological changes in plants treated with Croptimum translatee into measurable improvements in both harvest quantity and quality.
Results in greenhouse vegetables have been constant over the years, depending on the specific type of greenhouse harvest increases range from 5% (high tech) to 15% (low tech) on kg/ha. Combined with a decrease of unmarketable fruits while maintaining, or even lowering other inputs (water, fertilizer and agrochemicals).
In addition to increased yields, the following positive effects were noted:
- Lower total salt (up to 7%)
- Higher levels of calcium (up to 20%)
- Increase of skin hardiness (up to 11%)
- Increased chlorophyll levels (up to 5%)
- Increased stomatal conduction (up to 6%)
Croptimum enables growers to improve crop performance without increasing other agronomic inputs such as water, fertilizer, or crop protection products. This supports more sustainable production systems while delivering reliable and predictable results, even under challenging growing conditions.
