Environmental stress
Stress is an organisms reaction to unfavourable conditions. These unfavourable conditions can be caused by both living (biotic stress) and non-living factors (abiotic). Reaction to stress will always consume energy and cause suboptimal growth conditions for an organism, for crops this will result in less production, loss of quality and stunned growth. Examples of abiotic stress that hinder a crop from reaching its optimal potential are heat, excessive light, drought, nutrient deficiency and changeable weather. Croptimum helps any plant to cope with these forms of stress.
Croptimum contains active compounds derived from onion that are efficiently taken up by the plants. The active molecules in Croptimum specifically target the cells central stress monitor, glutathione, to trick the plant into thinking it is stressed and push the plant to commence a small antistress response. By repeated triggering of this small antistress response treated plants will develop an increased buffer against stress, and are better prepared for stressful moments throughout the season.
Numerous scientific trials and grower experiences have shown how the application of Croptimum helps a crop to become more resilient and be less affected by stressful moments throughout the season. Treated crops appear greener and fresher due to elevated levels of chlorophyll, are more productive due to decreased rates of fruit or flower abortion and produce less second grade fruits.
