Melon Season Success: Elevating Crops with Croptimum for Enhanced Quality and Yields

Crop Health Vision has great feedback from growers when using its key product, Croptimum. In melons, results are consistently very strong. With the season ahead in the Northern Hemisphere, we like to update our melon and watermelon community on the expected impact on their crops.

When using Croptimum imagine better root growth, nutrient uptake, fruit set, better quality and uniformity of harvests. Exactly that has been consistently measured by reputable research companies and among our wide customer base.

Optimizing Crop Yields: 10% More Fruits, 16% Higher Profits.

Through follow-up applications, better plant growth, better nutrient uptake and around 10% higher fruit set have been measured. These fruits continue to grow better than the control plants, resulting in average greater weight and homogeneity, providing growers the grades they commercially target. This is clearly shown in the below graph showing the distribution of grades of both Croptimum treated and the standard grower program. In this case, under low-stress conditions, the improvement of yield has been determined at 2,800 euros per ha (+ 16%).

Croptimum Thrives: 30% Higher Yield in Heat Stress

Where Croptimum has been applied during high-stress conditions, yield increases have been reported much higher to around 30% due to more harvestable commercial-grade melons. Below can be seen that the Croptimum-treated crop is more vigorous and contains much more chlorophyll. This is a clear visual difference and coincides with increased transpiration and lower leaf temperatures measured in this crop, a clear sign that plants are better able to cope with heat stress.
