Croptimum among first biostimulants to obtain CE mark
November 2022, Croptimum was one of the first biostimulants to obtain CE marking for all EU countries including Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein.
From 16 July 2022, it will only be allowed to offer fertiliser products, biostimulants, organics substances, topsoil improvers and growing media on EU markets if a CE mark has been obtained for the product. In this way, the European Commission aims to set limits on toxic contaminants to protect soil and reduce health and environmental risks.
Improved plant growth and resilience with Croptimum
In particular, biostimulants have an effect on plant growth and resilience. Whereas plant protection products are effective against pathogens or biotic stresses, a biostimulant actually promotes plant growth and resilience to abiotic stresses. So does Croptimum.
As Biostimulants are now covered by the new European Fertiliser Regulation EU2019/1009, they are recognised within the European Union as agricultural inputs. This does mean that it must be demonstrated within the harmonised standards that the products comply with the legislation. After application, these products can be CE marked after which they can be freely traded within the EU.
We are very proud of our CE certification! This allows us to continue serving you with Croptimum.
